Title: Business Development Specialist (Sales)
Location: East London /Onsite
Type: Full Time – Permanent
Salary: £30,000- £35,000 a year + Commissions – Full Time
Our client is looking for a Business development specialist with customer service mindset looking for a long-term career in their organisation
Self-motivated, sales driven individual with great communication skills – demonstrate the ability to develop customer relationships and drive customer connectivity to increase new and existing business opportunities, promote services to prospects and clients and negotiate contracts with the aim of maximizing profits and pushing our brand forward.
You will represent multiple supplier ranges, selling into:
Workshops, Garages, Commercial specialist workshops, Agricultural plants, Motorcycle and Car/Automotive customers.
Responsibilities:
- Farm existing customers through regular phone calls, visits and relationship building
- Sell oil and lubricant products to the automotive industry
- Generate new business and customer relationships
- Meet sales-related KPIs, including meeting targets for retention, new business and customer engagement
- Provide and follow up customer quotations, based on an understanding of their needs
- Work closely with internal sales to chase outstanding customer orders and respond to customer queries
- Work closely with marketing to promote products, services and special offers
- Update and maintain the CRM database with customer details, notes and outcomes of visits
- Build relationship with suppliers to enable responsive and efficient customer support
- Build relationships with customers aiming to win sales, improve margin and have excellent customer service within the branch
- Working collaboratively with the other areas of the branch, ensuring that the customer needs are met
- Work closely with other internal teams across the business to understand our products and be one step ahead of our customer needs
- Builds sales offer to new and existing markets, delivering proactive new business and proactive account management.
- Have a high-drive, be people orientated, outcome and result focused, analytical, and strategic.

- Experience of selling into the automotive industry
- An understanding of the sales process, managing territories and call cycles
- A strong customer focus, with awareness of the needs of a business
- Self-motivated and adaptable, with drive to succeed
- Confident finding solutions for customers and overcoming objections
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Experienced sales leader from lubricants, oil or automotive background.
